Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I replace breakfast/lunch or even all meals with NoodleZero Low-Calorie Meal Replacement?

A: It’s not recommended. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating enough breakfast will keep you satisfied longer throughout the day. It is ok to consume up to 500 calories at breakfast when you are on a diet. If you eat NoodleZero for lunch, it needs to be supplemented with fresh vegetable and high-quality protein (e.g., chicken breast, seafood etc.). Otherwise, the energy you get may not be enough for work or study in the afternoon. It is highly recommended that you replace dinner with NoodleZero. An average adult needs 1,200 calories to maintain BMR. Given that a pack of NoodleZero is less than 100 calories, your enough intake won’t be enough for the day if you eat NoodleZero for more than two meals. Fat tends to accumulate when your metabolism slows down.

Q: Why do I need to eat 1,200 calories a day when I’m on a diet? Can I skip dinner?

A: Basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the minimal rate of energy expenditure that a person needs to keep the body functioning at rest (e.g., breathing, blood circulation, etc.). The average BMR for women is around 1,200 calories, which means that your body would still require 1,200 calories to keep its basic functions operating even if you lay in bed all day without moving.Basal metabolism accounts for 65-70% of the body’s total energy expenditure, and hence it determines how fast you can lose weight. For example, if you try to lose weight by skipping dinner, it will lead to a decrease in BMR. As a result, your weight-loss progress will slow down and may regain weight once you start to eat dinner again.

Q: Is skipping breakfast bad for weight loss?

A: Yes. If you eat more for breakfast, you will feel less hungry at night and hence reduce the chances of unhealthy snacking. You should eat a reasonable amount of carbohydrates and proteins at breakfast and establish a healthy breakfast habit. Foods like eggs, milk, bread, vegetable and fruits are ideal breakfast choices. You can even eat as much as 500 calories for breakfast.

Q: Can I have big meals when I am eating NoodleZero products to lose weight? Can I eat fruits and snacks?

A: Sure you can, as long as you can keep a daily energy intake of 1,200 calories. We recommend that you replace dinner with NoodleZero for 5-6 times a week and limit the number of big meals to 1-2 times. In such a way, high calories from big meals will be offset by the NoodleZero meal replacements. You can eat fruits and snacks, but have to watch out for the timing. It’s the best to eat fruits at 11 am. Having some fruits, nuts or dark chocolates will also be fine if you feel tired in the afternoon. You should only eat a fist-size of fruits a day, excess fruit consumption will increase the blood sugar level. Please be sure not to eat fruits or snacks after 7 pm.
